Peridot ( पेरिडॉट )
Peridot has been found over the past years on the island Zeberjed or St John in the Red Sea not far from Egyptian post Berenice. This island has been the most important source where the beautiful medium dark green crystals are found. The second major source is the Bernardino Valley in the Mogok area of Upper Burma. Small quantities of gem Peridot are also found in Brazil, Queensland, Australia and Czechoslovakia.

In Vedic Astrology, It is worn as a substitute of Emerald. It helps cure diseases related to lungs, breasts, intestinal tract, spleen and lymph. It is considered a very joyful, warm, friendly stone that can ease anger and jealousy as well as encourage open-heartedness.
