STAR RUBY ( स्टार रूबी )
"star-effect" or  Asterism is the reflection of light on tube-like ( tourmaline ) or needle-like (rutile (Tio2) in corundum) syngenetic inclusions that have arranged themselves according to the crystallographic axes of the host crystal. The optical effect is perpendicular to the direction of the needles. and this phenomena is present in ruby they are called as Star Ruby.
