Occurrence Topaz crystals occur in highly acid igneous rocks such as granite or Rhyolite. It is also found in areas of contact metamorphism and in pegmatite dikes. Large percent of topaz are found as water worn pebbles in alluvial and river deposits. In Vedic Astrology, In is worn as a substitute of Yellow Sapphire.
